For the 5th round of English Premier League, Manchester United will take on Liverpool at home. United has had a difficult start to the season. In the first 2 rounds, Louis van Gaal's team barely won over Tottenham and Aston Villa. In the 3rd round they failed to beat Newcastle at home (0-0), and then lost to Swansea (2-1) away. Man Utd scored only 3 goals afted 4 rounds, but they're standing at the 5th place of the league table.
For the 4th round of Premier League, Swansea play at home against Manchester United. The Red Devils started improving their game and getting positive results during the 2nd half of last season. Earlier this week, they defeated Club Brugge by a big margin (4-0), seeing a hat-trick by Wayne Rooney and a goal by Herrera. In the previous 3 rounds of PL, Man Utd earned 7 points after securing 2 low-score victories over Tottenham at home and away against Aston Villa, but failed to beat Newcastle at home (game ended as a goalless draw). Newcastle had luck on their side to escape Old Trafford with a draw.
In the first round of the English Premier League, Stoke City will take on Liverpool at home. It is noteworthy that last season Liverpool lost to the Potters with the impressive 6-1. During the off-season, Liverpool brought in several new players. Benteke, Milner, Clyne and Roberto Firmino joined. However, Sterling and Steven Gerrard left.
Victory for Liverpool for the 12th successive league game would surely mean that their 24-year wait for the league title is over, but Brendan Rodgers knows that even Chelsea's supposed 'second XI' is a formidable barrier to that aim. José Mourinho will still select 11 players who are the envy of most of the Premier League, and it goes without saying he won't simply give up the title race.
