For the 8th round of the Russian Premier League, Krasnodar hosts Dynamo Moscow. Last season, Dynamo has beaten Krasnodar away (0-2) and shared a point at home (1-1). Krasnodar this season are not scoring much, with the exception of UCL 1st playoff round against HJK (which they won by 5-1). Oleg Kononov's team has managed to score more than 1 goal just once so far in the league, on their surprising victory against Zenit away (0-2). After 7 rounds they've won 2 games, lost 2 more and tied 3 times; currently standing on the 8th place.
For the 5th round of the Russian Premier League, Spartak Moscow will host CSKA in the derby of the capital. Spartak didn't start the season well against Ufa, but went on to win 3 straight games over Krasnodar, Rubin and Krylya Sovetov. CSKA started very confidently, having a flawless campaign so far; securing wins over Rubin, Krylya Sovetov, Anzhi and Amkar. Spartak's manager is gradually finding a balance between the defensive and offensive lines, depending on the opponent. Most likely he won't play Romulo against CSKA. Goalkeeper Sergei Pesyakov moved to Anzhi Makhachkala on loan.
Terek Grozny hosts Mordovia Saransk for the 4th round of the Russian Premier. The Grozny side gathered just 2 points after 3 gameweeks so far (draws against Rostov and Kuban), even though they displayed more consistent results last season. For week #3 they lost 3-0 to Zenit. They're currently standing at the 14th place on the league table and hoping to get all 3 points verus Mordovia. Andrei Gordeev's side also has 2 points, so both managers will likely focus on solidifying their defense.
