Week #40 Result: +0.9%

| by Stam

Week 40 was similar to the previous one in terms of win rate, as we've won 23 out of 51 recommended events (45%). However, we still generated minor profit of +0.9% (or +0.45 points). Metalurg Donetsk's win over Dynamo Kyiv was the bet of the week (4.55 on Marathon). An interesting fact is that Dynamo Kyiv is the leader (#1 out of 173) of our teams rating in terms of profit; to be more specific, we've won 12 out of 13 recommendations on games involving Dynamo, which translates to +114% of profit.

Metalurg D v Dynamo Kyiv (27 April 2014)

| by Stam

Dynamo Kiev are set to travel to FC Metalurh Donetsk to try and push up the table to catch up to Dnipro and Shaktar at the top of the Ukrainian Premier League. In their last 5 league games, they have won twice, drawn twice and lost one, so they really need to defeat Metalurg in order to still chase Dnipro in 2nd place.

As for Metalurg, they are sat in 8th place and a win against Kiev would move them to 6th place if Poltava and Zorya both lose their games, so it's all to play for in this tie, however Metalurg look the most likely to win.

The last match of this Bundesliga season is a kind of a small derby. Schalke are third and almost have secured the Champions League next season, but they will need to win this game to make sure they finish third as they can still finish 4th and have to go into the qualifying rounds for the Champions League. Borussia, on the other hand, have secured the Europa League so basically, both teams have achieved their objectives so can play without pressure.

Liverpool v Chelsea (27 April 2014)

| by Stam

Victory for Liverpool for the 12th successive league game would surely mean that their 24-year wait for the league title is over, but Brendan Rodgers knows that even Chelsea's supposed 'second XI' is a formidable barrier to that aim. José Mourinho will still select 11 players who are the envy of most of the Premier League, and it goes without saying he won't simply give up the title race.

Improvements for the formations screen (v1.0.5 - April 6th)

We have applied a couple of tweaks to the formations screen, by changing the way players appear on the pitch.

Player shapes have been replaced by a kit/shirt with the team's main colors, player's number is on the shirt, and Footbe's skill rating is to the bottom left side of the shirt as a percentage bar. In addition, we have added a status of appearance (blue text to the bottom right side of the shirt) that will make it easy to know if a player is making his debut or if he's returning to the starting lineup.
